A P-38 airplane model. This 1:40 scale model of a P-38J Lightening made by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation and used by the United States Army Air Forces in World War II includes two extra fuel tanks and two missiles attached under the wings. The nose is marked ‘Putt Putt Maru’ with sixteen Japanese flags indicating air combat kills. The model is presented on a wooden stand with a brass label marked ‘Lockheed/USSAF P-38J Lightening’.
