A fresco painting on burlap of a Roman stone urn by Jacques Lamy (France; 1946-2016). Depicted is a Roman stone urn with a large green and red leafed plant spilling out of it’s top. Artist’s stamp to verso of piece. Presented without mat or frame.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as Musee D’Art Roger Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
