A fresco painting on burlap of a rabbit emblem by listed, French artist Jacques Lamy (1946-2016). This work features a a rabbit with long limbs on top of a crescent moon and surrounded by a circle. Artist’s stamp to verso of piece. Presented without mat or frame.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
