A needlepoint tapestry of a floral composition designed by listed, French artist Jacques Lamy (1946-2016). This tapestry features a central, intertwined floral composition bordered by a complementary floral motif. It is unsigned. A Jacques Lamy gallery label attached to the verso. This tapestry is fitted with hanging ‘O’ rings to the verso.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
