Gouache Paintings on Papyrus of Egyptian Themes
Item Details
A collection of gouache paintings on papyrus in an ancient Egyptian style. One of these pieces reproduces a painting found on the wall of a tomb from Meidûm and depicts different species of geese. The other two pieces depict a figure riding a chariot into battle and people harvesting papyrus on the river with hieroglyphs on both. The pieces are unsigned and presented behind mats and glass in black frames with hooks to the verso for hanging.

- buckling to papyrus; edge wear to frames.
