"RMS Olympic" Model And Remington Inspired Berkeley Designs Cowboy Sculpture
Item Details
An RMS Olympic ship model and a Berkeley Designs ‘Bronze Gallery’ cowboy sculpture inspired by Frederic Remington. The ship model depicts the RMS Olympic, the lead ship of the White Star Line’s trio of Olympic-class transatlantic liners, which sailed from 1911 until it was retired in 1935. The ship is presented on a dark stained wooden stand with a brass tone name plaque and protected with a clear plastic lid. The second item in this pairing is a black tone metal sculpture depicting a cowboy attempting to control a horse. The sculpture is clearly inspired by the famous statue by Frederic Remington titled Bronco Buster, however the details of the two sculptures are not identical. The sculpture has a hanging paper tag which reads ‘Bronze Gallery by Berkeley Designs Made In China’.
