A fresco painting on stretched burlap depicting a Corinthian column by listed artist Jacques Lemy (French, 1946 – 2016). Signed by the artist to the lower right corner. Presented without a frame.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.

- craquelure; minor edge and corner wear to the plaster; repaired runs to the burlap on the verso.
