A fresco painting on burlap of floral still life by listed French artist Jacques Lamy (France; 1946-2016). The work depicts a curved vase blue vase containing various stylized flowers set against an ambiguous beige background. The piece is signed by hand in ink to the lower right. Marked with the artist’s state stamp ‘Jaques Lamy, Dallas’ to the verso. The item remains unframed.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in instructions such as Musee D’Art Roger Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
