A fresco painting on burlap Venice Façade by Jacques Lamy (France; 1946-2016). Depicted is the face of a building rendered in colorful strokes on a textured ground. Artist’s signature to lower right corner of piece. Presented without mat or frame.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
