This impressionistic style painting depicts a view of St. Mark’s square with the Biblioteca and column with a winged lion on top. This work is signed in to the lower right corner. To the verso, the piece is signed once more and titled. This piece is presented in a gold tone wood frame.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at the artistic training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in instructions such as Musee D’Art Roger Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
