A fresco painting on burlap titled The Trevise Fountain by Jacques Lamy (France; 1946-2016). The work depicts a stylized fountain and Roman architecture in bright color. Signed to the bottom left in paint. A gallery label is also attached to the verso with the artist name and title of the work. Presented unmounted and without a frame.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
