An acrylic and plaster painting on board of an abstracted floral still life by listed French artist Jacques Lamy (France; 1946-2016). The work depicts a delineated still life arrangement comprised of stylized flowers overflowing a vase. The piece is signed by hand in ink to the lower right. There is an artist’s state stamp adhered to the verso. Presented without glass, housed in a floating wood frame with a black finish.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in instructions such as Musee D’Art Roger Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
