An oil painting on canvas of a Victorian genre landscape. This painting depicts three women along a riverbank outside of a Victorian castle rendered with stippled brushstrokes and soft hues. It is signed in paint ‘Marie Lande’ to the lower right corner. Artist’s name is also inscribed to a label attached to the verso. This painting is presented in a gold painted wood frame with linen lining without glass.

- craquelure present throughout; abrasions and wear to frame; some foxing and water spots present to linen lining.
