A mixed media composition on board of a forested landscape by listed, French artist Jacques Lamy (1946-2016). Depicted are six trees on a brush covered hill with a bright blue sky behind them. Trees are painted on fabric and hill is composed of thick green and brown fabric. Signed in paint to the lower left corner. Presented in a gilt, decorative wood and gesso frame without glass and a wire hanger to verso.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
