A mixed media painting on board of a trained rose bush by listed artist Jacques Lemy (French, 1946 – 2016). Comprised of paint, plaster, fabric and more. Signed by the artist to the lower right corner. To the verso is a label from Jacques Lemy Design & Decorating and the framer. Presented in a gilt wood frame without glass.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
