Antique Framed New York Stage Flyers
Item Details
A pair of antique New York stage flyers. Both pieces show flyers for Madison Square Garden performances of Cyrano de Bergerac, and are matted in white, and framed behind glass. One flyer advertises the Farewell American Tour of famed French stage actress Sarah Bernhardt in the role of Roxane, with actor Benoît-Constant Coquelin as Cyrano; a pencil notation of ‘Dec. 13th, 1900’ is handwritten to the upper right. The other program advertises a production with English actor Richard Mansfield in the title role, with the date unmarked.
Condition
- fading, foxing, and some stains to flyers; pencil writing on one; minor wear to frames.
