A hand-knotted antique Persian Tabriz wool area rug. The rug has allover floral motif of arabesqued vines and Shah Abbasai palmettes and is woven in a muted palette of browns and greens. It features a compound border and natural cotton warp fringe. The rug is unmarked; it is indicated as being from the Haji Jalili weaving workshop but a clear attribution could not be established.
