An antique male Crèche figurine. This Italian made Presepio style religious figure features inset glass eyes, hand-painted facial features and hair, and sports a handwoven silk cravat, waistcoat, overcoat, and breeches. The body is hand carved and painted wood. There are no discernible maker’s marks.

Condition

- missing thumbs and part of feet; chipped paint throughout; fading, spotting, and tears in clothing; holes in the feet were used to connect to a base.
