A vintage black and gilt French dressing screen. This screen, in the Louis XVI style, has a carved black giltwood frame of two panels with double hinges; the frame of the screen is reeded top to bottom on the four upright supports, with the reeds being highlighted in gilt, and terminating in an acanthus medallion under a foliate cap. Between the upright supports are black and gilt baroque pediments and in the arched areas below are fitted beveled glass windows. The long body of the screen is glazed on the gilt decorated side.
