Pair of Italian Classical Style Arm Chairs

A pair of Italian Classical or Directoire style arm chairs in an antiqued, crackle-lacquered finish with carved and gilded detail. The curved crest rail, is above a giltwood center splat with intertwined dolphins and arrows. The arms terminate into dolphin heads, above dolphin carved arm supports. The seats are upholstered in a floral print with lotus and frogs and multi-colored rope trimming, above paneled saber legs. Circa 1990.
