An original watercolor on paper titled Blue Beyond by listed Ohio artist Robert Herrmann (1922 – 1996). The painting depicts several buildings of the city with the sky rising in the background. It is signed to the lower right. It is titled on a label to the verso. Presented in white matting and wrapped in acetate.

Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous. He is known for his precisionist style and his paintings of architectural landscapes.
