Vintage Carlos Zipperer Mounted Butterflies Tray from Brazil
Item Details
A vintage Carlos Zipperer mounted butterflies tray from Brazil. Fourteen butterflies of various sizes are mounted within a cushioning material under glass. The stained rectangular tray features an inlaid border and handles cut into the wood at the shorter sides. A torn sticker affixed underneath is marked ‘Carlos Zipperer Sobr’, and ‘Made in Brazil’ is also stamped to the base. The Zipperer factory was founded in 1923.
