An original 2017 miniature oil painting on canvas by contemporary Cincinnati-based artist Trey Hoover (born 1983), titled Counter-Wish. This non-objective work features the convergence of a variety of small organic forms painted in a thoughtful variety of saturated colors and textures. Pale pinks, greens, and blues line the outside of the piece, moving into a series of smaller and brighter forms clustered at its center. The painting is signed, titled, and dated to the verso. It is presented without matting or framing, but is gallery-wrapped and ready for presentation.
