Antique 19th-Century Box With Inlay

Item Details

An early to mid-19th century box, having a hinged lid, which opens to a pine interior and mirror to lid underside. The top and sides are covered in fruitwood and burled veneers and having narrow inlaid borders. The box has a lock (no key), elliptical brass escutcheon and four turned feet. Continental, circa 1830-40.

Condition

- missing key; wood is warped in some places.
