Complete Collection of 1937 Wills Cigarettes Cards "Wild Flowers"
Item Details
A complete and ordered set of fifty original 1937 cigarette cards collected from W.D. & H.O Wills Cigarettes’ series Wild Flowers. The small cards each depict an offset lithograph illustration featuring a different full-color wildflower variety. Each is labeled to its lower edge. Each card is mounted to forest green backing and is outlined in gold. An engraved brass plaque to the lower edge reads ‘Wild Flowers 1937’. To the verso, photocopies of the back of each card are included; they give extensive information about each species included. The piece is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
