Early 19th century English chinoiserie decorated corner cabinet. This small antique black painted corner cabinet has an oval brass escutcheon on the decorated frame of the door surrounding a raised panel with a skillfully painted scene of rural Chinese life with a man and woman sitting under a tree at the edge of a lake, a boat in the distance and a small temple on the opposite shore. The corners of the cabinet are decorated in trees. On the interior of the cabinet are two wooden shelves
