Four Persian Style Miniature Paintings on Plastic Inside Marquetry Frames

A set of four vintage Persian style watercolor and gouache paintings on plastic. Featured is a polo match scene set inside a large arena, as well as a painting depicting several figures walking with their horses. The two unsigned pieces are set against an orange background and framed together inside a shadowbox-style frame with multicolored khātam inlaid marquetry patterns and easel stand. Also featured are two painted courtship scenes on oval plastic discs. Both unsigned works are centered over fabric backgrounds and presented under glass in wooden easel-back frames with multicolored khātam marquetry patterns that feature bone inlay accents.

- to Fair; wear and cracks throughout tallest frame, with stains to orange backing; overall surface wear and dust to all frames; frame joints are not fully flush.
