Vintage USAF Blue and White Dress Uniforms
Item Details
A pairing of vintage United States Air Force black and white dress uniforms with hat. The assortment includes a white double breasted mess dress jacket with six silver tone metal eagle buttons, a black double breasted mess dress jacket with eight silver tone metal eagle buttons, an adjustable black cumberbund and black dress slacks with appliqued ribbon stripes to the side seams marked with sewn in ’Lauterstein’s’ label. The black dress jacket includes shoulder epaulettes with silver tone bullion oak leaf insignia indicating rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and appliqued silver tone bullion wings above a bar pin with attached 1940s service merit ribbons. Also includes a dress blue hat with white cover, both marked ‘Devonshire Custom Built for Lauterstein’s San Antonio Texas.’
Condition
to fair – some soiling and odor, discoloration to linings.
Dimensions
- measured the group. The jackets measure 19" shoulder to shoulder, 22" from collar to hem at back, 44" at chest, the pants have a 31" inseam, 44" at side seam and have a 38" waist, the hat is size 7 3/8.
