A carved Polynesian-style wooden staff marked with incised initials reading ‘J.M.A. J.’ This work features a stacked assortment of carved faces along with carefully-rendered foliate patterning. The carving is signed to one side and has a natural finish, allowing the wood grain to be seen.

- fair; small crack to top due to being previously repaired; scratching throughout.
