A library of books on antique furniture and the art of collecting. This seventeen volume collection includes books on Victorian furniture, cabinetmakers, rococo styling, English and American furniture, oriental rugs, clocks, and home decor. A first edition of American Cabinetmakers: Marked American Furniture, 1640-1940, written by William C. Ketchum, was published by Crown Publishers of New York with a 1995 copyright date. The collection also includes English Furniture 1500-1840 by Geoffrey Beard and Judith Goodison (Phaidon-Christie’s, Oxford, 1987). Two volumes dealing with oriental rugs are titled The Official Identification and Price Guide: Oriental Rugs and Tai Ping: Rugs & Carpets. For the clock collector is the book The American Clock: A Comprehensive Pictorial Survey 1723-1900 With a Listing Of 6,153 Clockmakers (Bonanza Books, New York, 1983). Additional books are in this collection including two Kovel’s price guides.
