Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Mir-A-Boteh Wool Area Rug

Item Details

A semi-antique Persian mis a boteh wool area rug. The rug features a dense center field of boteh forms in dark blue and red. The center panel is framed by a Serabend boteh border with sawtooth and floral guard borders with unresolved corners in a palette of pink, blue, dark rose, cream and dark green. The rug had fringe on the ends, which is now all but gone. No maker’s marks.
