Martin Rettig Oil on Canvas "Roses"
Item Details
This original oil on canvas painting is done by Cincinnati artist Martin Rettig (b. 1869-d.1956). Rettig studied under Frank Duveneck and was President of the Cincinnati Art Club as well as an artist for the Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati. This piece, titled’ Roses’, features blossoming red and pink roses in a turquoise vase and is housed in a gold gilt and white wooden frame. The piece is signed in the bottom right. A title card from the Cincinnati Art Club and wire for hanging are on the back of the piece.
Condition
- Some nicks and scratches to frame, discoloration to paper backing.
