Handmade Ceramic Bell by R. C. Gorman

Item Details

A handmade, hand-painted bell, by listed Native American artist R. C. Gorman (Navajo, 1931-2005). The white earthenware bell depicts a woman wearing a pink shawl, holding a pottery jar on her lap, and the other side depicts a pottery jar. The bell has a cord loop at the top and a ceramic clapper. The side of the bell is signed’R.C. Gorman’ and the clapper is signed ‘Gorman’.

Condition

hand made decorative bell, signed by artist “R.C. Gorman” on its exterior and on its lower ceramic section of ringer, exterior of bell depicts a woman making a bowl and a bowl with a rag on the other side
