A hand-knotted Turkish wool runner rug. This runner has been made in a warm palette of golds, ivory, coffee, garnet, and scarlet. The abrash brown field features a repeated pattern of stylized palmettes with floral arabesque details paired with oval medallions, all worked in the same palette. The compound borders include meanders flanking a stylized pattern of flowers, leaves, and arabesques. The selvedges are double overcast and there is short fringe to each end.
