Robert Fabe Original Oil Painting on Canvas Board
Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas board by well-listed Cincinnati-based genre artist Robert Fabe (1917 – 2004). The painting depicts a line of women wearing flowing white garments sitting at the top of a grassy hill overlooking a row of squat houses. Their hair blows softly in the wind, mimicking the grasses surrounding them. The painting is completed in Fabe’s signature melancholy color palette, with a few accent of bright yellow, green, and orange paint across. The painting is signed in ink to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with white linen lining and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
