A vintage hand-knotted Pakistani wool area rug made for Bloomingdale’s. This rug features a palette of pale rose, sky blue, mauve, and black; beginning with a central stepped diamond medallion with smaller medallions surrounding on a pale rose field, the geometric spandrels display cloudband and floral motifs. The field is framed in multiple geometric patterned borders with two more borders to each end. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a natural warp ivory knotted fringe. Labeled ’Bloomindale’s, Made in Pakistan, Rug # Firdous, 100% Wool Pile’.
