Item Details
A George VI Indian Recruiting Badge, issued circa 1940. The badge was awarded to recruiters, civil servants, select families and military pensioners. The design features a superimposed bronze medallion to center with crowned bust of George VI. The medallion and suspension ring are held by a silver collar with crowned multi-ray design and inscription, ‘For Recruiting’. This badge is numbered ‘1848’ to the reverse. It lacks the original ribbon and bar pin.
