Italian Hand-Painted Ceramic Plates and a Pitcher

A collection of Italian hand-painted plates, platters and a pitcher. The collection includes a square plate, marked ‘ZRIKE Handpainted in Italy Yuletide’, is hand-painted with a Santa Clause figure. There is a large oval platter painted with lavish floral and flourish motifs in cobalt blue, yellow, green and red, and is marked ‘Deruta – Dipinto a Mano’. A round plate with a bird painted in the center, has blue floral designs around the rim, and is marked ‘Spienza’. Another plate has a geometric star pattern in cobalt blue, with a center floral medallion in cobalt blue, orange, green and yellow. A plate marked ‘Selva – Made in Italy’ has bold triangle sunburst designs in orange and green, with an image of a rhinoceros painted in the center and a hanging wire on the back. Another plate has stylized peacock feather designs with a star pattern in the center and another has a yellow border with a cobalt blue painted castle in the center, both with hanging wires on the backs. Also included is a hand-painted ceramic pitcher, which features large, colorful fruit motifs.
