A mahogany reversible top game table by Maitland-Smith. This square top table with clipped corners and a moulded edge contains a reversible inlaid wooden center panel within a gilt embossed black leather surround and crossbanded border. The center panel features a checker board on one side and a backgammon board on the other. In the apron of the table are four drawers and four slides, all with dark brass tone pulls. The table rests upon a tapering octagonal pedestal on four sabre legs with scrolled feet. Marked ‘Maitland-Smith Hand Made in Philippines’.
