Victorian Brass Skirt Lifter

Item Details

A vintage brass skirt lifter. Lifter is in the shape of tongs with handles and circular pads for gripping. The handles go between two butterflies. On the pads its engraved with ’Fyfe’s patent’ and on the other side is engraved with ‘registered Sep 21 1876’

Condition

-patina to the butterfly; the handles are bent; the brass is worn to the handles; cracking and chipping to the bead in the clamp.
