Item Details
A 1991 oil painting on canvas by Jamaican artist Robert Armstrong titled Jamaica. The piece depicts two figures harvesting bananas from trees with large green leaves. The work is signed ‘R. Armstrong’ and dated in brown paint to the lower right, with an additional signature of ‘Robert Armstrong, Jamaica, 1991’ in black ink to the canvas verso. The work is presented without glass in a brown wooden frame with linen liner, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- minor scuffing, wear and scratching to frame; no backing paper present; toning and areas of discoloration to canvas verso.
