A hand-knotted MIchaelian & Kohlberg Himalayan wool area rug made in Nepal. The rug features an abrash gray field populated by a repeating pattern, with slight variations in the execution of the motifs, of vines with leaves, flowers, and berries, running diagonally across the rug. The design is worked in shades of variegated blues, dark steel gray, brown, maize yellow, russet, wine, and gray-green. The selvedges are overcast and the ends are bound with a fabric strip sewn along the underside. The rug is labeled on the reverse.
