Item Details
An antique oil painting on canvas on board of a genre scene by artist Hans Koch, completed during the latter half of the 19th century. The work depicts a group of Eastern European townsfolk dancing over a wood bridge. Signed by the artist to the lower right corner. Housed in a gilt and gesso frame with a leaf motif to each corner and a velvet liner.
Condition
- small areas of wear to gilt and gesso on frame; small water stains to verso; canvas has been cut and attached to board; work and signature are both clean under UV light.
