A first edition of The Life of Our Lord by Charles Dickens. This account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ was written for Dickens’ children in the 1840s and, at Dickens’ request, was not published until after all his children had died. This first edition was published in 1934 by Simon and Schuster of New York. The hardcover volume is bound in full green cloth with a white slip cover with a portrait of Charles Dickens at the top.
