Late 19th Century Carved Oak Altar

Item Details

A late 19th century oak altar featuring a molded top, Corinthian columns to the corners with an inset cartouche shaped panel to the front which is trimmed in a hand carved blackberry motif, all stained a dark brown. To the back is an open cubby above a cupboard with two doors. A copper colored plaque reads ‘Presented by Harriet M. Smith for Memory of her Parents, George J. and Hannah W. Smith’. Proceeds from the sale of this item to benefit the Warren County Historical Museum.

Preview is available for this item Tuesday through Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday 10am – 5pm at the Warren County History Center, 105 S. Broadway, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.

This item is local pick up only. Pick up is Tuesday, October 17th from 9am – 12pm at the Warren County History Center, 105 S. Broadway, Lebanon, Ohio 45036. EBTH representative will contact winning bidder to assist with pickup logistics.

- top is loose from the base, has a significant wear to the top with water marks and wear to the finish throughout, top of right rear corner pillar is loose.
