A rare pair of hand colored 19th century lithographs on paper titled East Rock, Newhaven and West Rock, Newhaven by G. H. Durrie, published by Sarony & Co. These prints feature buttes in the distance with farmers, travelers and towns in the foreground. Each print is presented under a mat with a cutout for the title and publication information in type beneath the image. The pieces are mounted in wood frames under glass, wired to hang.

Condition

- discoloration and foxing throughout; mat burn; staining from water damage to lower edges of mats; one mat is warped; chips and surface abrasions throughout both frames.

Dimensions

- measures frames; visible images measure 20.75" W x 14.75" H.
