A signed oil painting on canvas board of figures walking down a street. Signed illegibly to the lower left appearing to read ‘Towne’, the painting depicts a pair of figures walking down a paved street lined with tall buildings and a church. The painting is presented in a white washed and gold tone gesso and wood frame with a raised, foliage design. A wire is present to the verso for hanging purposes.
Condition
- cracks and uneven varnish to paint; wear and nicks to finish of frame; some chips throughout frame relief particularly corners.
