N. Lonis Oil Painting on Canvas of Bearded Man in Wine Cellar
Item Details
A mid to late 20th century oil painting on canvas by artist N. Lonis. The piece depicts the portrait of a bearded male figure in a green hat, brown jacket and striped shirt. He is shown standing with a cane and metal pail in a rustic wine cellar, with glass jugs and copper kettles shown to the background. The work is signed in red paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a distressed wooden frame with linen liner, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- edge wear, nicks, scratching and residue to frame; no backing paper present; toning and foxing to canvas verso.
