Ink Wash

A collection of ink drawings by well-known political cartoonist Clifford Kennedy Berryman (1869-1949). These satirical cartoons depict Uncle Sam, along with representations of Congress, the District of Columbia, and Theodore Roosevelt’s ‘Teddy Bear,’ with signs reading variations of ‘Buy Early, Mail Early.’ All three are signed to their lower right corners, and are matted under glass in black frames with wires for hanging.

- toning and foxing to mats; some toning, foxing, and smudges to drawings; wear to frames.
