A gouache and ink painting on fabric. The Indian folk art piece depicts the Hindu deity Krishna surrounded by a group of celebrating male and female figures. They are shown standing on dark green grass with scattered flowers set against a backdrop of dark brown hills. The unsigned work features a painted floral border and is presented without glass in a copper tone metal frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
